About 6 am, I’m awakened by a light, moving across the
ceiling in the bathroom. I look out the
shower window and find it is the lights from a tug, which is nosing in to pick up
a stern line for our entrance into Eden. That was a first!!!
Eden is a beautiful little town between two bays. Fishing, oyster farming and lumber are the
main industries. They have developed a
nice cruise pier that lets you out right in front of their visitor center.
We had booked a ride with Southern Trike Tours, a
husband & wife company. He takes
people out while she handles the marketing and scheduling back on the
pier. You can check out their Facebook page -- you might see us there!
They had this custom made in Germany and shipped to
Australia.
For an hour we got the royal tour of town and the surrounding hills and vales.
Quarantine Bay (notice the yellow markers on each boat) |
on the open road -- searching for koalas in the trees (no luck) |
We went down the peninsula to another bay.
Now that is certainly the biker look.
