Copenhagen Apartment

I'm a little behind on my posts.  I could blame  a combination of too much relaxing and some bad internet connections while we dodged a few storms in the English Channel and south to the Azores.  We are finally on a westerly course for Bermuda and the sun is trying to break out.

Back to the chronology....

We had rented a three bedroom apartment -- a penthouse -- in Copenhagen.  I found it on AirB&B.  The owner teaches American students so she speaks very good English.

The place is in a very nice neighborhood, on the same street as the British, Spanish and Chilean Embassies.  We could see the American Embassy out our window.

Here's a quick look around:

Our first day there was one of doing laundry, getting a few supplies and exploring the area.  We went to the bakery and the grocery store down the block, and on the way back noticed this plaque about Victor Borge.

It roughly translates - "two people are the smile... when we throw cares away, life becomes easier."
