We got to the ship around noon, and spent the afternoon
exploring.
We have a two bedroom suite.
Here’s Scott’s tour:
our living room one very small balcony behind it |
dining room and desk |
king size bed in bedroom |
double sinks in the bath |
After the required lifeboat/safety drill we got underway
right on time at 1700. We were up on
the sun deck watching. The Danish Navy
ships in front of us at the pier were at dress ship… we’ll have to ask our
Danish friends what holiday they were celebrating.
We backed into the channel and then turned eastward. I thought we would turn south and was
watching to get a picture of the bridge between Malmo, Sweden and
Copenhagen. Instead I got a shot of one of the wind farms.
We had gone inside to get
out of the wind, when I noticed that the sun was coming through the starboard
windows… that meant we were going north.
Since Germany is so close, they make a circle around Zealand and then
head south.
