Since we were traveling with the Naval Academy Class of 61, we got a few perks.
The Staff Captain stopped by our nightly happy hour a couple of times and he agreed to fly the “Get ‘er Done in ‘61” class flag when we were in port.
It flew in Buenos Aires, but only a few saw it (nobody from the ship told us),
They flew it again in Montevideo, and for the remainder of the cruise.

We got a special bridge tour the day after leaving Montevideo. We expected it to be a quick tour, but the Captain was enjoying himself, talking to other mariners, and stayed to answer many questions.
